Our Team
Meet the small but mighty team that makes up FACS Foundation.
Dr. Jill Stoddart
JIll brings more than 30 years of experience across Child Welfare, Children’s Mental Health, and Developmental Services in both frontline and leadership roles to her current role as ED of FACS Foundation. Guided by a strong awareness of disparities in child and youth outcomes related to race, ethnicity, and other socio‑demographic factors, Jill champions a collaborative, community‑engaged, and multi‑sector approach to program and research design. She leads several cross‑sector initiatives focused on the prevention of child abuse and neglect, advancing evidence‑based, culturally responsive practices.
Jill holds a Master’s degree and PhD in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and is an Assistant Professor (status only) at the Factor‑Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. She is the proud mother of three adult children and grandmother to two, and enjoys time with her husband, Dave, their rescue dogs, and two grandchildren.

Most recently before joining the Foundation team in 2020, Sydney worked for SickKids Foundation supporting families and diverse community groups to raise funds for the Hospital.
